Awen brings the essence of Berber storytelling into a modern, tactile composition. Its warm camel field is enriched with hand-carved charcoal motifs — flowing lines, abstract diamonds, and tribal marks that seem to move across the wool like a written code.
The depth of the carving creates shadows and highlights, giving the rug a sculptural dimension that shifts beautifully with natural light.
Hand-knotted by master artisans of the Beni Mrirt tribe in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, Awen is woven from 100% hand-spun virgin wool. The pile is exceptionally plush and velvety, offering both comfort and refined visual texture.
Framed with contrasting black edges and tassels, the rug balances tradition with contemporary elegance.

You're customizing your own size
Each and every Beni rug is woven entirely by hand and then washed and dried in the mountain air. Current estimated lead times are:
- 274 × 366 cm and smaller: 12–16 weeks
- Larger than 274 × 366 cm: 16–20 weeks
Since your rug is hand-crafted, there will be natural, beautiful variations in pattern and color. These are sure signs of an authentic rug made just for you. Final sizes and pile heights can vary by up to 5% from what is ordered.
Can I return my rug?
All orders are final and we cannot accept returns. Please ensure all measurements, colors, and design are correct before submitting your order!
Can I cancel my order?
After placing an order, you have until 7:00 PM ET the following day to cancel and get your money back.
What if I don't like what I ordered?
We certainly hope that never happens! We're here to answer whatever questions you've got before you place an order to ensure you're 100% happy with your one-of-a-kind design.
